This is an Algebra II unit on Conic Sections. The students in the classes all have access to Mac Books and Grapher.
Day 1 - 4
Students will grouped, assigned a conic section to become an "expert" on and using the packet below, become an expert on the graphing of their conic section and create a presentation for the class. Circles.doc Hyperbolas.doc Ellipses.doc Parabolas.doc Parabolas2.doc
Day 5 - 7
Student groups will make presentations to the class on their conic sections.
Day 8 - 9
Students will be grouped heterogeneously so that an "expert" from each conic group will be available to complete the problems bleow. Conic Sections Worksheet 1.doc

Rewriting Conic Sections using Completing the Square Conics Worksheet2.doc
Day 12 - 14
Writing equations of conic sections using given information and Real World Applications.
